AAMP of AmericaTM was originally established in Clearwater, Florida in 1987 as a one-stop distributor of car audio installation accessories. Today being a portfolio company of Audax Group, AAMP belongs to the world-known suppliers of a wide range of mobile audio/video products, OEM integration technologies, mobile device accessories, and installation and fabrication components.
In 1990 the company produced Stinger® its own proprietary brand of cable, interconnects and car audio electronics. in 1992-1993 a fast growing AAMP was included by Inc.Magazine in the annual exclusive list of 500 Private Companies to Watch. In 2000 its portfolio was increased with Peripheral®, Sound Quest® and Best Kits & Harnesses®. Aggressive technological strategy and innovation, investment policy and entering new retail markets in 2005 gave a strong growth.
As a result in 2005 AAMP became the global leading OEM producer of integration solutions after purchasing Pacific Accessory Corporation and merging with Peripheral. 2008 gave a new acquisition namely Select Distributors Inc. In 2010 Phoenix Gold®mobile brand was reentered after buying it from Rodin and iSimple® consumer brand based on advanced connectivity technology for portable car devices was launched. Subsequent years were also successful.
In 2011 AAMP acquired American International, a manufacturing company, in 2013 - Precision Interface Electronics, an OEM integration provider. During 26 years AAMP of America has consolidated technological leadership in engineering, production and distribution of mobile audio and electronic devices.
All this is achieved through a unique insight of technological tendencies, the most advanced novelties and wish to meet customer demands. With eight in-house brands AAMP of America is a dynamically growing company for which issues of product design, engineering mastery, sales strategy and innovation are of utmost importance.
AAMP of America strategy implies expanding global footprint including service, support, marketing and logistics capabilities; formation of strategic relationship with national and international partners; growing the company’s logistics infrastructure with five facilities in the US and one in Asia; organizing global sales branch and increasing technical support hours.
