This Quick Reference Guide is not intended to replace your
vehicle’s Owner’s Guide, which contains more detailed
information concerning the features of your vehicle and
important safety warnings to help reduce the risk of injury to
you and your occupants. Always read your entire Owner’s
Guide carefully when first learning about your vehicle and
consult the appropriate section when questions arise.

Outside Temperature

Press to display the outside air
temperature. Press again to
return to interior temperature.

MAX A/C Control

– Press to

manually enable or disable the
air conditioning in all modes

Manual Override Controls

When pressed, these four controls
will override automatic operation.
All controls allow you to determine
where airflow is directed. To return
to automatic operation, press AUTO.

Temperature Selection

– To

control the temperature, select the
desired temperature by pressing the
temperature controls.

Fuel Tank Capacity

– Your vehicle’s fuel tank can accommodate approximately

18 gallons of gasoline.

Octane Recommendations

– Your vehicle is designed to use "Regular" unleaded

gasoline with pump (R+M)/2 octane rating of 87 for optimum performance. The use of
gasoline with lower octane ratings may degrade performance.

Tire Pressure

– Your tire pressure is properly set at the dealership according to the

recommended specifications found on the Certification Label located on the driver’s door
panel. Please check your tire pressure during routine maintenance and seasonal changes.
Warning:Improperly inflated tires can affect vehicle handling and can fail suddenly,
possibly resulting in loss of vehicle control.

Fuses

– If electrical components in the vehicle are not working, a fuse may have blown.

Changing the Tires

– If you get a flat tire while driving, do not apply the brake heavily.

Instead, gradually decrease your speed. Hold the steering wheel firmly and slowly move
to a safe place on the side of the road. Your vehicle is equipped with a spare tire that is
smaller than a regular tire and is designed for emergency use only. Replace the temporary
spare tire with a full-size tire as soon as possible.

– To fully assist if you should have a vehicle concern, Ford

Motor Company offers a complimentary roadside assistance program. This program is
separate from the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. The service is available: 24 hours, seven
days a week for the New Vehicle Limited Warranty period of three years or 36,000 miles.
Roadside assistance will cover:

Changing a flat tire

Jump-starts

Limited fuel delivery

Lockout assistance

Towing of your vehicle

AM/FM Select

– In radio mode, press

to select AM or FM frequency bands.

Volume/Power Control

– Press the

control to turn the audio system on
or off. Turn the control to raise or
lower the volume.

Seek Function

– In radio mode,

press to find the next listenable
station up or down the band. In CD
mode, press to move to the next/
previous selection on the CD.

Eject

– Press to eject a CD.

Tune Adjust

– In radio mode, press

to move to the next frequency up or
down the band. In CD changer mode
(if equipped), press to select a disc
in the changer.

Setting Memory Preset Stations

Select AM, FM1, or FM2 band, then
select a station. Next, press and hold
a numbered preset control until the
sound returns.

Setting the Clock

– Press and

hold the H control to set the hour.
Press and hold the M control to set
the minute.

CD Select

– To begin CD play while

in radio mode, press the CD control.
Press again to toggle between single
CD mode and CD changer mode
(if equipped).

Compression

– Press to bring soft

and loud passages together for a
more consistent listening level.

Shuffle

– Press to play CD tracks in

random order.

Scan Function

– In radio mode,

press to hear a sampling of all
listenable stations. In CD or CD
changer mode (if equipped), press to
hear a brief sampling of all selections.

AM/FM Select

– In radio mode, press

to select AM or FM frequency bands.

Volume/Power Control

– Press the

control to turn the audio system on
or off. Turn the control to raise or
lower the volume.

Seek Function

– In radio mode,

press to find the next listenable
station up or down the band. In tape
mode, press to move to the next/
previous selection on the tape.

Side 1-2

– Press to change

tape direction.

Tune Adjust

– In radio mode, press

to move to the next frequency up or
down the band.

Setting the Clock

hold the H control to set the hour.
Press and hold the M control to
set the minute.

Tape Select

– To begin tape play

while in radio mode, press the
tape control.

Dolby® Noise Reduction

– Press

to activate the system, which reduces
tape noise and hiss while playing a
tape. Press again to deactivate.

Scan Function

– In radio mode,

press to hear a sampling of all
listenable stations. In tape mode,
press to hear a brief sampling of
all selections.

The rear wiper and washer control is located under the
headlamp controls. Press the wiper control to activate
the rear wiper. Press again to turn off the wiper. Press
the washer control to activate the rear washer.

Front Window Defroster

Distributes outside air through
the windshield defroster ducts.
Can be used to clear ice or fog from
the windshield.

Rear Window Defroster

– Press to

clear the rear window of ice or fog.
Press the control again to turn off
the defroster. The defroster turns off
automatically after 10 minutes or
when the ignition is turned to the
OFF position. Activating the rear
window defroster will also activate
the heated mirrors (if equipped).

Fan Speed

– To adjust manually, use

the control to raise or lower the fan speed.

Automatic Operation

– In this

mode, the system will automatically
determine fan speed and airflow
location to achieve the temperature
selected. Press AUTO to engage
the automatic temperature control.
