Troubleshooting

Check these questions first if you have problems with your
Personal Communicator:

Question

Answer

Does the handset
have a signal?
Do you see

j

in

the display?

Make sure that your antenna is fully
extended (if applicable). The signal
strength indicator should have at least
one segment showing (

). If it does

not, move to an area with a stronger
signal to use your Personal
Communicator.

Has the Personal
Communicator
been damaged,
dropped, or
gotten wet?

Dropping your Personal Communicator,
getting it wet, or using a non-Motorola
battery or battery charger can damage
the Personal Communicator. The
Personal Communicator’s limited
warranty does not cover liquid damage
or damage caused from using
non-Motorola accessories.

Was a
non-Motorola
battery or
battery charger
used?
