■When a disc/file is stopped

Press [PLAY MODE] repeatedly to
display “RANDOM” in the display
window.

Press [DVD 3] or 3(playback).
NOTE
• Each chapter or track is played back only once.
■When a disc/file is stopped
Press [PLAY MODE] repeatedly to dis-
play an item other than “RANDOM” in
the display window.
• Opening the disc tray also cancels random play-
back.
■When a disc/file is played back
Press [REPEAT].
• Each time you press [REPEAT], the repeat
mode changes.
* 1 For some discs/files, “REPEAT” may appear
instead of “
”
* 2 “STEP” is displayed during program/random
playback.
* 3 Repeats the whole program during program
playback.
* 4 For some discs/files, no display may appear.
NOTE
• You can also use the menu bar to set repeat
playback. (Refer to page 38.)
• You can also specify a part to be played back
repeatedly by using A-B repeat playback. (Refer
to page 39.)
• The repeat mode is automatically canceled if
there is a file that cannot be played back.
• For some discs, stopping playback may auto-
matically cancel repeat playback.
• To cancel the PBC function for VCD/SVCD, refer
to page 24.
