Place Calls in Standby Mode

In Standby mode, enter a phone number, and press

to place a call.

Press

to return to Standby mode.

Receive Messages in Standby Mode

While your phone is in Standby mode, new incoming messages
automatically appear in the screen as they are received. Use the
Navigation key to scroll through text or to view complete images.

Talk Mode

You can place and receive calls only when your phone is on.
While in a call, your phone is in talk mode. Press the Clear key to
display a list of menu options. (For more information, refer to
“The In-Use Options” on page 30.)

Enter/Exit Silent Mode

Silences the ringers, the alerts, and the tones your keypad makes
when you press a key.

To enter Silent Mode:

In Standby mode, repeatedly press the Volume key
(

) Down until “Silence All” appears in the display.

To exit Silent Mode:

While in Silent mode and Standby mode, repeatedly press
the Volume key (

) Up until “Silence All” disappears

from the display and the desired ringer value appears.

Vibrate Mode

In Standby mode, repeatedly press the Volume key
(

) down until “Vibrate only” appears in the display.

Note: The Volume key is on the left side of phone.

Adjust the Ringer

To adjust the Ringer volume, while in Standby mode, press the
Volume key up or down.

In Standby mode, press the Volume key up or down to set
the call ringer volume as desired.

When you are satisfied with the setting. Your phone returns
to Standby mode.

Note: The Vibrate icon (

) appears in the display when the phone is in

Vibrate mode. The No Ring icon (

) appears in the display when the

phone is in Silence All mode.
