Starting VAIO Media Console

VAIO Media Console software manages all of the Media Servers, enabling you to register and grant access to the client
computers on your network. You can also register folders containing video, music, and still image contents. When a folder is
registered with VAIO Media Console, the contents can be accessed by the network's client computers and devices.

To configure client and server access

1.

Click Start in the Windows

®

taskbar, and then point to All Programs.

2.

Point to VAIO Media, point to Server Administration, and click VAIO Media Console.

VAIO Media Console

The VAIO Media Console software window appears, enabling you to:

Check the status of your servers.

Troubleshoot problems.

Start and stop all media servers.

Identify devices registered to the server.

Register folders.

Add password protection.

Enable or disable access by other computers on the network through the Windows

®

Firewall.

Run the software when the system starts.
