Notes

• The disc may not be recorded as programmed if the

tape’s time code is not sequential or there are blanks
between the recordings on the tape. In this case, follow
the instructions of “Recording From Connected
Equipment Without a Timer
(page 51).

• You cannot set a scene to be shorter than one second.
• The start and end points of a program may be different

from what you have set if the source DV format tape is
in any of the following conditions:
– Recording mode was changed during the recording.
– There is a blank space in the recorded portion.

• A program can contain up to 50 scenes (chapters). If the

recorder divides a program and the number of scenes
reaches 49, the rest of the program becomes one scene
(chapter).

The recorder will fast forward and rewind the tape
automatically and record the scenes to a disc of
your choice.

How chapters are created
The dubbed contents on the disc become one title,
and the title is divided into chapters. For a DVD-
RW (VR mode), every shooting on the tape and
each selected scene becomes a chapter on the disc
(Auto Scene Chaptering function). For other discs,
the recorder divides the title in either 6 or 15-
minute intervals, according to the setting in “Auto
Chapter” in Features Setup.
