Digital Quick Zoom
(Extend Zoom)
The digital quick zoom function allows you to
quickly zoom in on a subject. This is useful
when you want to instantly capture a particular
subject.
Using Digital Quick Zoom

Press the MENU button until
appears (Camera mode).

During recording, press the EXTEND
button (
C).
• The zoom range indicator appears and
the subject is instantly magnified.
Setting the Digital Quick Zoom
Ranges

In Recording Standby mode, press the
MENU button until
(MENU 1)
appears.

Press the ĭ or İ button (Q) to select
“EXTEND”, then press the SET button
(
B) (W) to select “2؂”, “4؂”, or “ALL”.

Press the DISPLAY button to turn off the
menu screen.
• When “ALL” is selected, each time you press
the EXTEND button ( C) during recording,
the zoom range changes as shown.
Note:
• When the Digital Quick Zoom is used with the
optical zoom at 16 ן,
—“2 ן” increases the zoom power to 32ן,
—“4 ן” increases the zoom power to 64ן,
—“10 ן” increases the zoom power to 160ן.

To cancel Digital Quick Zoom
Press the EXTEND button again.
Notes:
• The picture quality decreases when the
Digital Quick Zoom is used.
• The Digital Quick Zoom cannot be used in the
digital zoom range or together with the
STRETCH or SLIM EFF. picture effects.
