To eliminate the confirmation
sound
(Remote control)
Every time a button is pressed, a “beep”
will be heard in the headphones.
To silence the “beep” sound, do the follow-
ing:

While in the stop mode ...
Hold down the PLAY MODE button
until “SET UP” appears.

When you release the button, “BEEP 1”
will appear.

Press the PLAY MODE button.

“BEEP 0” will appear, and the confirma-
tion sound will disappear.
●
To restore the confirmation sound, se-
lect “BEEP 1”.

Press the

button.

The normal display will reappear.

To turn off the display
backlight
(Remote control)
Whenever you press a button, the display
will light for about 4 seconds, so that you
can read it in the dark. You can turn off the
backlight.

“EL off” will appear, and the backlight
will go out.

To turn the backlight back on, select
“EL on”.
