1 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Sunbeam Products, Inc. doing business as Jarden Consumer Solutions
or if in Canada, Sunbeam Corporation (Canada) Limited doing busi-
ness as Jarden Consumer Solutions (collectively “JCS”) warrants that
for a period of one year from the date of purchase, this product will be
free from defects in material and workmanship. JCS, at its option, will
repair or replace this product or any component of the product found
to be defective during the warranty period. Replacement will be made
with a new or remanufactured product or component. If the product is
no longer available, replacement may be made with a similar product of
equal or greater value. This is your exclusive warranty. Do NOT attempt
to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this product.
Doing so will void this warranty.
This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of
initial retail purchase and is not transferable. Keep the original sales
receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance.
JCS dealers, service centers, or retail stores selling JCS products do not
have the right to alter, modify or any way change the terms and condi-
tions of this warranty.
This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting
from any of the following: negligent use or misuse of the product, use on
improper voltage or current, use contrary to the operating instructions,
disassembly, repair or alteration by anyone other than JCS or an autho-
rized JCS service center. Further, the warranty does not cover: Acts of
God, such as fire, flood, hurricanes and tornadoes.
What are the limits on JCS’s Liability?
JCS shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages
caused by the breach of any express, implied or statutory warranty or
condition.
Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty
or condition of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is
limited in duration to the duration of the above warranty.
JCS disclaims all other warranties, conditions or representations,
express, implied, statutory or otherwise. JCS shall not be liable for any
damages of any kind resulting from the purchase, use or misuse of, or
inability to use the product including incidental, special, consequential
or similar damages or loss of profits, or for any breach of contract,
fundamental or otherwise, or for any claim brought against purchaser by
any other party.
Some provinces, states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or
limitation of incidental or consequential damages or limitations on how
long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusion may
not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have
other rights that vary from province to province, state to state or jurisdic-

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed to reduce the risk of fir e, electric
shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using the appliance.
2. To avoid fir e or shock hazard, plug the appliance dir ectly into
a 120V AC electrical outlet.
3. The heater is hot when in use. T o avoid burns, DO NOT
let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Use handle when moving
this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as fur niture,
pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3
ft (0.9 m) from the fr ont of the heater and keep them away
from the sides and r ear.
4. DO NOT run cor d under carpeting. DO NOT cover cord with
throw rugs, runners, or the like. Arrange cor d away from
traffic area and wher e it will not be tripped over.
5. This heater is not intended for use in bathr ooms, laundry
areas and similar indoor locations. NEVER locate heater
where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container .
6. Extr eme caution is necessary when any heater is used by,
or near children or invalids, and whenever the heater is left
operating and unattended.
7. Always unplug the heater when not in use.
8. When unplugging, be sur e to pull by the plug and not the
cord.
9. DO NOT insert or allow for eign objects to enter any
ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric
shock or fire, or damage the heater .
10. DO NOT operate heater with a damaged cor d or plug, or
after the heater malfunctions, or has been damaged in any
manner. Retur n appliance to manufacturer for examination,
electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair .
11. A heater has hot and ar cing or sparking parts inside. DO
NOT use it in areas wher e gasoline, paint, or flammable
liquids are used or stor ed.
12. Use appliance only for intended household use as described
in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the
manufacturer may cause fir e, electric shock, or injury to
persons. The use of attachments not recommended or sold
by the manufacturer may cause hazar ds.
13. DO NOT use outdoors.
14. T o prevent a possible fir e, DO NOT block air intakes or
exhaust in any manner. DO NOT use on soft surfaces like a
bed, where openings may become blocked.
15. T o disconnect heater, tur n unit Off, then r emove plug from
outlet.
16. A void the use of an extension cord because the extension
cord may overheat and cause a risk of fir e. However, if you
have to use an extension cord, the cor d should be No.
14AWG minimum size and rated not less than 1875 watts.
17. If the heater will not operate, see specific instructions under
Auto Safety Shut-off on r esetting the heater.
18. DO NOT attempt to r epair or adjust any electrical or
mechanical functions on this unit. Doing so will void your
warranty. The inside of the unit contains no user serviceable
parts. All servicing should be performed by qualified
personnel only.
19. DISCONTINUE USE IF PLUG OR OUTLET IS HOT .

Installing Batteries into the Remote:
Before operation, insert 2 “AAA” batteries into the back of
the remote contr ol:
• Do not mix old and new batteries
• Do not mix alkaline, standar d (carbon-zinc), or
rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries
The remote contr ol for this unit has the capability of
remote will not work thr ough walls.
Bulb Installation:
Unwrap the two 25W Candleabra Bulbs from foam
packaging material and op en doo rs on bac k o f u nit with a
flathead screwdriver .

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
• Ther e may be an odor coming from the heater the
first time you use it. This is normal during the break-in
period or after long term storage. Make sure the heater
is in a well ventilated area and continue running it until
the smell goes away.
• You may hear a popping or crackling sound as the
heater heats up. This is normal and safe operation.
• The Fir eplace Heater can be operated by using the
remote contr ol (Fig. 1) or the control panel (Fig. 2)
located on the top of the unit.
• Place the heater on a firm, level surface or mount on
wall.
• Avoid overloading your cir cuit by not using other high
wattage appliances in the same outlet. At 1500 Watts,
this unit draws 12.5 Amps.

Power On/Off
First button push will illuminate LCD and power light. The
units default settings are: T emperature 80°; T imer OFF;
Flame Brightness HIGH; Sound ON. After tur ning th unit
Off, the fan will continue to run for 10 seconds to cool unit
down.After all settings are chosen, LCD will go dark.

Thermostat
• Pr ess Thermostat button until desired temperatur e level
appears on LCD Display. It is r ecommended to start by
setting the temperature to the highest setting. Note: the
fan will continue to run for flame operation without heat.
• The system now maintains the selected comfort level
by automatically turning the heater ON and OFF . The

cycles ON and OFF with the heater
element as it maintains the programmed temperatur e.
• When LCD reads 00 the heat will turn off but the fan will
continue to run for flame operation.

Timer
You can set the timer to automatically tur n the unit off.
Press the T imer button, select between 1 and 12 hours.
Your selection will then be displayed on the LCD

Flame Brightness
There ar e four flame brightness settings: H IGH, M EDIUM,
LOW , OFF . Press button to select desir ed brightness.

Sound
Press Sound button to tur n crackling sound on or off. The
sound volume can be adjusted to 4 levels and turned of f.
Push the button to cycle through. T o turn the sound of f
immediately hold the sound button for two seconds and
release.

Press to show temperatur e in Fahrenheit or Celsius.
Wall Mounting T emplate
To mount into wall studs 1. Find studs in wall. Studs ar e typically 16” apart.
2. Cut Mounting T emplate on dotted line and tape onto wall so
brackets are center ed on studs.
3. Use level to make sur e template is level. Using a sharp object
such as an awl, mark hole location.
4. Using a Power Driver with Phillips head bit, drive 1.5” scr ews
through bracket and drywall into wood or metal stud.
IMPORTANT : Befor e drilling into any wall ensure no
electrical cables are pr esent in the area.
To mount into drywall Use toggle bolts for 3/8 - 5/8” thick drywall.
1. Cut Mounting T emplate on dotted line and tape onto wall. Use level to make sure
template is level and mark wall with a sharp object such as an awl.
2. Drill 3/8” holes at top and bottom of bracket guide in center of studs.
3. A - Align bolts, thr ough bracket holes then thread on Spring Loaded W ings. (Fig. A)
B - Collapse W ings while pushing through hole in wall. (Fig. A)
C - Pull bolt out to secur e Toggle W ings against inside of wall (wings spring open
on other side of wall and securely hold bolt and bracket). (Fig. B)
D - Screw bolt in until tight.

Note: The mounting hardwar e included is intended for mounting the heater on 3/8” to 5/8” drywall affixed to wood or metal studs. For your convenience the wall mount brackets ar e 16”
on center to align with 2 studs. Not all studs will be 16” on center. If you ar e not able to align with studs, toggle bolts are pr ovided. For other wall types, please consult a professional or visit
your local hardwar e store to determine which type of har dware is best for your particular wall.

Stand Assembly:
For floor use attach the Stand to the Fireplace heater
using the 4 machine screws (pr ovided). Gently lay the unit
on the floor and attach the Stand to the bottom. For wall
mount see Wall Mount Instructions below .
Wall Mount Installation:
This product weighs 25 lbs. Do not install alone.
Mounting Template with instructions is attached below to
make mounting your Fireplace Heater easy .
• Wall Mount Har dware Kit includes:
4 - 1.5” Phillips head self tapping scr ews
4 - toggle bolts
2 - mounting brackets
IMPORTANT : Befor e drilling into any wall ensure no
electrical cables are pr esent in the area.
Max height of 47” (1.2m)
Make sure you allow at least 3 feet of space on sides
of unit.
1. Remove stand fr om main unit, if installed.
2. Secur e the mounting brackets to the wall using the Wall
Mounting Template pr ovided (see below).
3. Hang main body on wall brackets by lifting over the
bracket and sliding down.
4. Use Cor d Wrap to hide extra cor d.
