NO SIGNAL z Poor connection of the digital cable. z Connect the digital cable securely.
z No output signal comes out from the
connected unit to playback. z If the portable CD player has a function to prevent sound
skips, deactivate it.
z The input signal has improper sampling
frequency. z Playback with the connected unit.
NOT PLAY z You tried to play back a track that can-
not be played with this equipment. z Play back another track.
PLAY MD z You recorded on a playback-only disc. z Replace it with a recordable disc.
POWER ? z Improper power is being supplied. z Use one of the specified power sources.
PROTECTED z The write protection tab of a MiniDisc is
set to the protected position. z Move the write protection tab back to its original posi-
tion.
z You tried to record on a playback-only disc. z Replace it with a recordable MiniDisc.
SORRY z Since a track number is currently being
located or updated, the unit cannot ac-
cept your command. z Wait for a while and try the operation again.
TEMP OVER z The temperature is too high. z Turn off the power, and wait for a while.
TOC FORM (**) z There is an error in the recording signal. z Erase all of the tracks, and then record again.
TOC FULL z There is no space left for recording
character information (track names,
disc names, etc.). z Replace it with another recordable disc.
Tr. Protect z The track has been protected from be-
ing erased. z Edit the track with the device on which it was recorded.
? DISC z A disc which contains data other than
music was played. z A disc which contains non-music data cannot be played.
z There is an error in the signal recorded
on the disc. z Replace it with another recorded disc.
