Mail box
Confidential transmission
You can set your machine up to keep documents confidential when
communicating with other fax machines that have confidential mail box
capability.
Notes:
• Make sure that the other party’s fax machine sured be are samsung fax machine
confidential mail box feature.
• Find out the confidential mail box number of the other party.
1. Load the document face down. If necessary, use resolution, and contrast.
For details, see page 2.8.
2. Press Menu , then press Mail box on the one-touch keypad. The display
prompts that you can choose the three mail box options; 1.CONF. TX and
2.SET, 3.PRINT.
3. Press Start/enter to confirm ‘1.CONF. TX’ The display asks you to enter
a 2-digit mail box number. The mail box number must be preassigned at
the remote fax machine.
4. Enter the 2-digit mail box number.
5. Press Start/Enter when the number appears correctly in the display. The
LCD prompts you to enter the number of the remote fax machine.
6. Enter the number of the remote fax machine. You can also use a one-
touch button or a speed dial number. The stored number (and name) will
be appeared in the LCD.
7. Press Start/Enter when the number appears correctly in the display. The
LCD prompts you to enter the job name.
8. If you want to assign a name to the transmission job, enter a name. If not,
skip over this step. For details on how to enter letters using the number
keypad, see page 2.4.
