Scan direction

Scan direction defines whether the bar code is read in one direction;
from left to right, or in two directions; from left to right or right to left.

NOTE: When bar codes are read in two directions (bidirectional), the

time required to read/decode bar codes is extended.

The default for all modes is

Unidirectional.

The options are:

— Unidirectional—results in bar codes being read in only one

direction (left to right), requiring that the start character be to the
left.

Bidirectional—results in bar codes being read in two directions
(from left to right or right to left).

Select

Scan Direction from the Bar Code Reader menu.
