HCS6300 Product Description
The HCS6300 MUX/MOD controller is one of the LG CodePlus series feature cards.
Features
• Part of modular system, easily scaled for each application
• Controls up to eleven CodePlus transcoder cards with a single IP connection *
• Supports Pro:Idiom
® encryption key maintenance
• Generates four contiguous 256-QAM cable channels, with up to two program streams
multiplexed on each channel
• RF output available to connect to site’s RF distribution system
• Short 3U height profile to minimize rack space usage

* While HCS6300 MUX/MOD functionality is only applicable for the transcoder cards installed in Slots 1,
2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 11, and 12, up to three additional transcoders (connected to external modulators and
upconverters) may be installed in an HCS6100R card frame. Transcoder configuration options that are
not tied directly to HCS6300 MUX/MOD functionality will also be available for any additional cards.
