6.

Remove the failing diskette drive or card reader by sliding it out the front of
the drive bay assembly.

7.

Remove the retaining bracket from the failing diskette drive or card reader
and install it on the new diskette drive or card reader.

8.

Install the new diskette drive or card reader into the drive bay from the front
until it snaps into position.

9.

Reconnect the signal and power cables to the rear of the new diskette drive or
card reader.

10.

Go to “Completing the parts replacement” on page 35.
