Setup consists of six steps:

3.1. STEP 1: Connect to TV
The LaCinema Black RECORD supports different ways of connect-
ing to televisions. From the following methods, choose the setup
that matches the ports on your television or receiver:
✦ HDMI (section 3.1.1 )
✦ Component (section 3.1.2 )
✦ Composite (section 3.1.3 )
In each of the above connection methods, it is possible to con-
nect the LaCinema Black RECORD to home theater systems by
plugging an S/PDIF cable (not included) to your digital amplifier
via the digital optical audio connector (see section
3.1.4. Optical
Audio (S/PDIF) Connection for details.
The chart at right illustrates the qualities made possible by the
different connection methods.
TECHNICAL NOTE: The connectors on the rear of your TV may
not appear exactly the same as shown below. Please read the la-
bels next to the connectors carefully to ensure correct connections.
