<Precaution for STILL TIMER item setting>
The cumulative total standby time passed in the same location
increases at such times when the same material is repeatedly used
as is the case when programs are transmitted, for example.

<Notes>
When STEP FWD is selected, the VTR is

automatically transferred to the standby OFF (half-
loading) mode after it has been left standing in the
STILL status for a total of 30 minutes (or 1 minute in
the case of a DV or DVCAM tape).

When, after tension release has been selected and

the VTR has been transferred to the tension release
mode, the VTR has been left standing in this mode
for a total of 2 hours, it is automatically transferred to
the standby OFF (half-loading) mode. However, in
the case of a DV or DVCAM tape, the transfer to the
tension release mode is inhibited, and the VTR
operates as if STEP FWD has been selected.

DRUM STDBY

For selecting whether the drum is to operate
in the standby OFF (half-loading) mode.
