(3) Chapter (or track) indicator
Shows the chapter (or track) number currently
playing.

(4) Time indicator
Shows the elapsed playing time of the current
chapter (or track).

How to watch a DVD

Set a DVD (or CD) to DVD player.
Playback will automatically start.
The DVD disc’s menu may be displayed.

Use VOL dial to adjust the sound level.

To skip back or forward to another chap-
ter (or track), move the NEXT/PREV con-
trol to NEXT side or PREV side.
Moving the NEXT/PREV control to NEXT
side skips to the start of the next chapter (or
track). Moving the NEXT/PREV control to
PREV side once skips to the start of the cur-
rent chapter (or track). Moving again will skip
to the previous track.

To perform fast forward or reverse, press
and hold the control stick right or left.
❒ If you continue pushing the control stick

right or left for 5 seconds, the color of the
fast forward or reverse mark changes from
white to blue. When this happens, fast for-
ward or reverse continues even if you
release the control stick. To resume play-
back at a desired point, move the control
stick up.

Displaying the DVD MENU

Press the A.MENU (AUDIO) button when
the source is DVD.

Select “DVD” and press the A.MENU
(AUDIO) button.
The DVD MENU is displayed as follows:
REPEAT
RANDOM
SCAN
PAUSE
ITS (INSTANT TRACK SELECTION) PLAY
ITS (INSTANT TRACK SELECTION) MEM.

You can operate a desired function. For
details, refer to the pages for each of the func-
tions.

❒ “RANDOM”, “SCAN” and “PAUSE” are

available when playing CDs.

❒ “ITS PLAY” and “ITS MEMORY” are availa-

ble if the Multi-DVD player is connected. (For
functions and operation, refer to the Owner’s
manual of the Multi-DVD player.)

❒ Select “BACK” in the menu display or press

the BACK/FUNC button to return to the pre-
vious display.

❒ To cancel the menu, press the BAND/ESC

button.

❒ If you do not operate the function within about

30 seconds, the menu is automatically can-
celed.

Repeating play

Repeat play lets you hear the same track, chapter
or title over again.

❒ During PBC playback of Video CDs, this func-

tion cannot be operated.

DVD MENU, and press the A.MENU
(AUDIO) button.

2 or 3 to select the repeat range.

The settings change as follows:

•During DVD video playback
TITLE : Repeat just the current title
CHAPTER : Repeat just the current chapter
DISC : Repeat the current disc
❒ If you perform chapter (title) search or fast

forward/reverse, or slow motion playback,
the repeat play range changes to “DISC”.

•During Video CD or CD playback
TRACK : Repeat just the current track
DISC : Repeat just the current disc
