Handset Wireless Network Connection and Settings

To connect to a wireless network that is not found in range:
Some networks do not broadcast their network name (SSID), and you can not find these
networks in range. When you want to connect to such a network, you need to enter its
network name (SSID) and network key.

While in the Idle mode, press {Options}.

For WEP security network:

Enter the network key containing 5 alphanumeric or 10 hexadecimal characters for
WEP 64bit or 13 alphanumeric or 26 hexadecimal characters for WEP 128bit.

For WPA-PSK(TKIP) or WPA2-PSK(AES) security network:

Enter the network key containing between 8 and 63 alphanumeric characters or 64
hexadecimal characters, then skip to 10.

Select the key index. i {Select}

Most of wireless networks use key index 1.

The handset attempts to connect the network. After a network connection is
completed, you are required to sign in to Skype if you have not signed in yet.

If failed, error message is displayed, then press {OK} and go back to step 3.

Note:

In step 5, after {OK}, “Saved” message is displayed. Press {OK} or leave the display
for 3 seconds.

In step 6 to 9, you can set other settings, such as TCP IP and Advanced settings.
