When trying to play back
video files using Windows
®
Media Player, the message

Some video files use a Codec that is not installed as a standard. In these cases, if you play
back the video file after connecting to the Internet, the Codec may be downloaded auto-
matically, allowing you to play back the file.
Start up Windows ® Media Player from [start] - [All Programs]. Also, you can copy the
icon from [All Programs] list to the desktop and use this icon to start Windows ® Media
Player.
Did the user who first accepted the Windows ® Media Player license agreement have the
administrator authority? Two icons will be displayed until someone with the administrator
authority accepts the license agreement, but either icon can be used to start the program.
