Purpose

The Upload/Download program saves command stacks, blackboard graphics and Weekly Timer settings created
on the DVD-V7200 to a single file. The file loads to the player’s non-volatile memory for later playback.

Requirements

The recommended equipment to run this program is charted below.

DVD-V7200:
firmware level 2.01 or above

Computer:
Pentium class processor or greater
RS-232 serial connection and cable
– PC: Pioneer Cable P/N CC12 or CC13
– Macintosh: Pioneer Cable P/N CC04/1

TV/Monitor:
appropriate cables

Note: A barcode database created for a DVD-V7200 player with Firmware 2.01 is not
compatible to a player with firmware version 2.20 and visa versa. Be sure to check the
firmware level of the DVD-V7200 before attempting to upload a barcode database
created on another player.

Structure

The program offers four buttons, two that can create a file and two that are able to transfer a file to the player. The
buttons are listed below with a short description of their functions.

Memory to File: commands created on the player are copied from the non-volatile memory to a file

File to Memory: commands previously created on the player and saved to a file are transferred to the non-

volatile memory of the player

Weekly Timer to File: timed play commands programmed on the player are saved to a file

File to Weekly Timer: timed play commands are transferred from the file to the player’s non-volatile memory

Note: The Weekly Timer must be set to ON during all phases of programming and playback.

The Menu bar contains standard Windows options as listed below.

File: Quit

Edit: Undo, Cut, Copy, Paste, Clear

Ports: COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4

Help: Help with Upload/Download, About Upload/Download

Note: An Edit command applied to characters within the data window have no affect on
uploads and downloads. The data window acts strictly as a progress mechanism.
