The display cannot be ro-
tated

Display Rotation

Remove the checkmark from [Hide modes that this monitor cannot display]*.

In [Start] - [Settings] - [Control Panel] - [Display] - [Settings] - [Advanced] - [Monitor].

Windows XP

In [Start] - [Control Panel] - [Appearance and Themes] - [Display] - [Settings] - [Advanced] - [Monitor]

Close any applications that are currently open.

Windows 2000

Add the checkmark for [Enable Rotation] in [Start] - [Settings] - [Control Panel] - [Intel(R)
Extreme Graphics]

When some applications are running (Outlook Express etc.), the display may not be
changed and the operation of the touch pad and the touchscreen may not match the dis-
play angle. Press the rotation button

1 - 3 times (until the operation of the touch pad

and the touchscreen matches the display angle). After exiting the application, rotate the
display, then start up the application again.
If the problem persists, restart the computer.

Confirm that the default angle of each mode is correctly set. (

Windows XP

Do not switch from Laptop mode to Tablet mode, or vice versa, while Windows is in the
process of switching users with the Fast User Switching function.

Windows 2000

Select [Center] for [Picture Display] in [Start] - [Settings] - [Control Panel] - [Display] -
[Background].

Windows XP

Select [Center] for [Position] in [Start] - [Control Panel] - [Appearance and Themes] - [Dis-
play] - [Desktop].

Some screensaver types do not display anything on the screen for the first minute or so. Try
changing the screensaver type.

This problem may occur if the screen settings are changed while the display is rotated. Press
the rotation button

1 - 3 times (until the operation of the touch pad and the touchscreen

matches the display angle).

Windows cannot be shut
down or restarted

sponding” is displayed
when shutting down or log-
ging off

Shutting down

If a USB device is connected, try removing it.

This message appears periodically; for example, when using a Wireless LAN. If the mes-
sage appears, select [End Now]. Delete the check mark for [Show the tray icon] in the
following menu.

Windows XP

: [Start] - [All Programs] - [Intel Network Adapters] - [Intel(R) PROSet]

Is Acrobat Reader installed?
If Acrobat Reader is not installed, run [c:\util\reader\acroreader51_enu_full.exe] in [Start] -
[Run] to reinstall the program. When installing the program, do not change the installation
destination folder. If the destination folder is changed, the Reference Manual cannot be
opened from the [Start] menu.
