Common Radio Features
Individual Calls
You can answer individual calls made to your radio. Use the
preprogrammed Call Response button to answer a call.
Answer a Telephone Call (Trunking Only)
Use your radio to answer calls similar to standard phone calls. A
landline phone can be used to call a radio. Use the preprogrammed
Call Response button to answer a call.
Answer a Private Call (Trunking Only)
These one-to-one calls between two radios are not heard by others in
the current talkgroup. The calling radio automatically verifies that the
receiving radio is active on the system. Use the preprogrammed Call
Response button to answer a call.
1 When a phone call is
received, you hear a
telephone-type ringing, and
the LED flashes GREEN. • Telephone-type ringing
• Flashing GREEN LED
2 Press the Call Response
button within 20 seconds
after the call indicators begin.
3 Press and hold the PTT
button to talk; release it to
listen.
4 To hang up, press the Call
Response button again.
