Tripod

This tripod lets you secure the R-09HR in place at the angle you want. A cushion that dampens vibration is built into the screw hole
on the back of the dedicated cover, absorbing vibration from the fl oor and reducing unwanted noise.

Extend the legs of the tripod
completely and lift the lock lever
to release the lock.

Orient the tripod so that its logo
faces up, then position it so that
the legs are on the same side as
the microphone.

Before using this product, carefully read the sections entitled: “USING THE UNIT SAFELY” and “IMPORTANT NOTES.” These sections
provide important information concerning the proper operation of the product. Additionally, in order to feel assured that you have
gained a good grasp of every feature provided by your new product, Owner’s manual should be read in its entirety. The manual should
be saved and kept on hand as a convenient reference.

Dedicated Cover

This protects the R-09HR from damage and prevents inadvertent operation while you’re carrying it inside a bag.

Orient as shown in the fi gure and
insert the R-09HR into the cover.

To keep it from falling out, fasten
the two button snaps shown by
the arrows.

If you’re using a commercially available
strap, pass it through the ring.

Open the tripod legs completely.

Adjust the angle, then lower the
lever at the position where you
want to secure the unit in place.

Note that reversing the orientation of
the legs may cause the unit to tip over.

Tighten the screw.

USING THE UNIT SAFELY

Do not open or perform any internal modifica-

tions on the product.

Do not attempt to repair the product, or re-

place parts within it (except when this manual
provides specific instructions directing you to
do so). Refer all servicing to your retailer, the
nearest Roland Service Center, or an autho-
rized Roland distributor.

In households with small children, an adult

should provide supervision until the child is
capable of following all the rules essential for
the safe operation of the product.

Protect the product from strong impact. (Do

not drop it!)

Try to prevent cords and cables from becom-

ing entangled. Also, all cords and cables
should be placed so they are out of the reach
of children.

Keep the adapter screw included with the

optional Mic Stand Adapter (OP-R09M) in a
safe place out of children’s reach, so there is no
chance of it being swallowed accidentally.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Do not expose the product to direct sunlight,

place it near devices that radiate heat, leave
it inside an enclosed vehicle, or otherwise
subject it to temperature extremes. Excessive
heat can deform or discolor the product.

Be sure the tripod is spread out adequately.

This allows the tripod to stand with greater
stability.

Use the setup in a flat, level location.

Use the setup only after confirming the

stability of all attached devices. Avoid use in
locations where wind or other conditions may
cause the equipment to topple and fall.

Always detach the device from the tripod

before moving it. Carrying the device while
it is still attached to the tripod may cause the
device to separate from the tripod and fall.

Do not leave the device attached to the tripod.

The topple and fall, resulting in unanticipated
damage to the product.

Take care not to allow fingers to become

pinched when extending and retracting the
tripod legs.

Maintenance

For everyday cleaning wipe the product with

a soft, dry cloth or one that has been slightly
dampened with water. To remove stubborn
dirt, use a cloth impregnated with a mild,
non-abrasive detergent. Afterwards, be sure
to wipe the product thoroughly with a soft,
dry cloth.

Never use benzine, thinners, alcohol or

solvents of any kind, to avoid the possibility of
discoloration and/or deformation.

Mounting on a Microphone Stand
Using a Microphone Stand Adapter (OP-R09M; Sold Separately)

Using a microphone stand adapter lets you mount the R-09HR on a microphone stand (such as the Roland ST-100MB).

Adjust the angle, then tighten
the retaining screw.

Loosen the retaining screw.
