Using the Flash

The flash has a range of about 0.4-5.1 m (1 ft. 4 in.-16 ft. 8 in.) when the camera is
zoomed out all the way. With maximum optical zoom applied, the range is about
0.6-4.0 m (2 ft.-13 ft.) (when ISO sensitivity is set to Auto). The following flash
modes are available.

Setting the Flash Mode

1

Press

m (flash mode).

The flash menu is displayed in the monitor.

2

Use the multi selector to choose the desired
flash mode and press

k.

The icon for the selected flash mode is displayed.

When U (auto) is applied, D is only displayed for
five seconds.

If a setting is not applied by pressing

k within a few

seconds, the selection will be cancelled.
