Installation Procedures

Parts List:
SR14 Panel-Mount Three-Fan Accessory (1)
#10-32 Clip Nuts—Tinnerman # C31758-1032-3B (4)
#10-32 x 1/2 Philips-Head Screws (4)

Tools Required: Phillips-Head Screwdriver

Note: The included clip nuts provide mounting points on
19-in. rackmount equipment rails. Clip nuts have a front
(screwhead) side. Before securing clip nuts to the rack,
determine which way they should face for ease of access to
the screwhead during component installation. Clip nuts may
be removed from rack rails by placing the tip of a fl at-blade
screwdriver or knife under the tab on the front and prying
up to free the retainer ring from the rail (see Figure 1).

1. Select the position at which the fan panel will be installed

in the rack enclosure.

2. Install one clip nut into the top hole of the selected

position

3. Install a second clip nut on the same rail, six holes down

(see Figure 2).

4. Measure from the bottom of the vertical rail to the top

clip nut. Install remaining clip nuts on the opposite
vertical rail at the measured height.

5. Using an assistant, attach the fan panel to the clip nuts with

the included 10-32 x 1/2 Phillips-head screws (see Figure
3). Plug the power cord into a grounded 120V outlet.
