CD-160

TASCAM's CD-160 is a cost-effective, rack mountable
CD player. The Auto Cue function will set the CD-160
at the "first audio" in a track, offering faster start
time on tracks with longer lead-ins. Pitch control is
standard, allowing minor tuning adjustment or a
bump in the feel of the track. Also, a +10 track
increment saves time when trying to locate high
track numbers. The CD-160 comes with a wireless
remote.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The CD-160 CD player is a simple, cost effective CD player
capable of handling most installations, and offering advanced
features like pitch control and auto cue.

Mobile PA Systems (Schools, Small Bands, etc.)

School systems often need to move between several locations
in the school for various functions - the pep rally in the gym,
the talent show in the theater, the staff meeting in the teacher's
lounge, etc. These systems simply need a rack mounted CD
player for portability, and will need to be durable enough to
withstand the travel. Full production CD players are not
required in these situations.

Bands face a similar problem when trying to have CDs playing
between sets, or even during set-up and tear down. Again,
the fancy feature set is not required. All that is needed is the
durable reliability that TASCAM is known for.

The CD-160 offers a cost effective solution to these markets
without dropping in all sorts of extra features that might cause
the user to make a mistake. It's all about pure and simple
reliability.

Fixed Installations (Lecture Halls, Board Rooms, etc.)

Whether you're setting up a player for a board room, lecture
halls, dance studios, or small theaters, often what is required
is a simple playback device. Extra features will often go
unused in these environments, and the CD-160 offers a
familiar player to these users.

In the case of dance or music instructional facilities, the pitch
control may come in handy for changing the feel of a track, or
taking it to a different key. Plus, the keypad allows faster
track access which comes in handy when dealing with sound
cues or multiple backing tracks.
