You can select the start-up image and sound, operation sound, self-timer
sound and shutter sound used on this camera.
These are called the My Camera settings. You can also customize the
and
options for each item with images recorded on the SD card and
newly recorded sounds or by using the supplied software.

• How the [Mute] Option in the
(Set up) Menu and Sounds in the
(My Camera) Menu Interact
To turn off each sound, such as the start-up sound, shutter sound,
operation sound and self-timer sound, [Mute] must first be set to [On] in
the
(Set up) menu. When [Mute] is set to [On], each sound option will
not play even if they are set individually to [On]. The warning sound,
however, will play even when [Mute] is set to [On].

camera power is turned on.
Start-up Sound
Sets the sound played when the camera
power is turned on.
Operation Sound
Sets the sound played when any button
other than the shutter button is pressed.
Selftimer Sound
Sets the sound played 2 seconds before
the shutter releases in self-timer mode.
Shutter Sound
Sets the sound played when the shutter
button is pressed. There is no shutter
sound for movies.
