1. *Determine desired mounting location on ceiling and add wood blocking (min. 2” x 4”) onto ceiling joists. (FIG. A, #1)

2. Remove screws securing top and bottom support frame together. Adjust support frame to accomodate the desired

height and re-assemble using the previously removed screws (2 for each support frame arm). (FIG. A, #2)

3. Fasten top support frame to desired location on ceiling using (4) M4 x 1-1/2” wood screws with washers. (FIG. A, #3)

The top support frame should be positioned so the narrow side is facing front to back. FIG. B. Make sure to install
the bottom support frame with the wider cut-out section facing the front of the hood. (FIG. C, #1)

4. Remove the (2) metal mesh fi lters and the (2) black charcoal fi lter brackets located behind the metal mesh fi lters.

Each bracket is secured to the hood with (4) Philips head screws. (Note: If hood is used in ducted mode the charcoal
brackets may be discarded.) Place canopy over blower housing on top of hood and secure to hood body using (4)
3/16” x 8 screws. (FIG D, page 10)

5. Lift hood and align the (4) pre-installed mounting screws on top of hood (FIG. A, #5-6) with the (4) key holes on

bottom of support frame. (FIG. C, #2) Slide hood towards the narrow end of key holes to lock into place. Hand
tighten each of the (4) screws to secure hood to bottom of support frame.

6. Reinstall the (2) charcoal fi lter brackets (if recirculating) and metal mesh fi lters.

*Hood is intended to be mounted to a fi nished ceiling.
