The DVD receiver does not
operate properly.

The DVD receiver may receive a
strong electrical shock, such as from
a lightening bolt or excessive static
electricity, or drop in power supply.

Set the DVD receiver to the Standby mode,
then disconnect the power cable. Wait for
about 30 seconds, then connect the power
cable and turn on the DVD receiver.

produces noises.

The DVD receiver may be placed
close to the digital equipment or
high-frequency equipment.

Place the DVD receiver further away from
such equipment.

receiver cannot be
recorded with an external
recorder.

You may be trying to make a digital
recording with an analog source.

Use proper audio sources.

The clock setting has
been cleared.

The power to the DVD receiver may
be lost more than a week.

Make sure the power cable is plugged into
outlet firmly, then set the clock again
(page 16).

incorrect.
