2. Hardware Installation
Unpack t he p rint ser ver package a nd verif y t hat all t he
items listed i n t he sectio n 1 .2 are p ro vided.
Connec t t he print se r ver to t he printer yo u wa nt to s hare o n
the netwo rk.
Connec t t he print se r ver to yo ur ne two rk b y a ttac hed t he
net work cab le to t he UTP por t of t he print ser ve r.
Connec t t he power adapter to t he pri nt ser ver. The pri nt
server wi ll perfor m the Power -O n-Self- Test (POS T) a fter it
is powered o n. Duri ng the POST, t he Stat us a nd Read y
LEDs will be o n. W he n t he LEDs are unlighted , the print
server is read y.
NOTE1: MUST use the power adapter shipped with the print server, do
NOT use any other power adapter from any sources.
NOTE2: To prevent the compatibility problem between print server and
a few printer, it is recommended that you power on the print server
before the printer.
