GreenGenius™ Overview:

1. The long 6’ power cord’s plug fits into a grounded three-prong power outlet. Please do not run the cable in traffic

areas where cord can become damaged or pose a tripping hazard.

2. The Power Switch also acts as a Reset for the 15-amp circuit breaker. The circuit breaker may be triggered to

stop power flow due to overloading, high temperature or a short circuit. The Power Switch is illuminated when in
the On position and receiving power. To reset circuit breaker, toggle the power switch.

3. A lighted GreenGround” LED indicates that the wall outlet is actively grounded. The surge protector must be

plugged into an actively ground outlet to provide equipment protection and warranty compliance.

4. A lighted Red “Surge” LED indicates that the GreenGenius surge protection is active.
5. A lighted Yellow “Controlled Outlets On” LED indicates that power is flowing to the Controlled Outlets.

GreenGenius™ Setup:

1. Connect the incoming phone line (RJ11) from the wall plate to the Phone/Fax port labeled In. Connect the ports

labeled Out to the phone, modem, fax or other devices.

2. Master Outlet: Plug your TV or computer in the Master Outlet. The device plugged into the Master Outlet

controls the Energy-Saving Controlled Outlets. If the device in the Master Outlet is on, the devices in the
Energy-Saving Controlled Outlets are on. If the device in the Master Outlet is off, the devices in the Energy-
Saving Controlled Outlets
are off.

3. Non-Controlled Outlets: The Non-Controlled Outlets are always on, regardless of the device plugged into the

Master Outlet. Use these outlets for devices that you would like to remain on, like a clock and Modem. Power to
these outlets can be cut off using the Power Switch.

4. Energy-Saving Controlled Outlets: Plug in all your other accessories here, such as a monitor, printer and

external hard drive. These accessories will automatically turn on or off with the device plugged into the Master
Outlet
. When the device in the Master Outlet is turned off, the accessories plugged into the Energy-Saving
Controlled Outlets
are automatically turned off, saving energy and saving money.

5. Setting the Sensitivity Adjustment: You may need to adjust the GreenGenius’ sensitivity. The Adjust dial turns

easily using a screwdriver or fingernail. The Adjust dial turns only 1 rotation. Please do not force it.
If the Energy-Saving Controlled Outlets never turn On: 1. Turn On the device in the Master Outlet. 2. Slowly
turn the Adjust dial clockwise until the device/s in the Energy-Saving Controlled Outlets turn On. Turn Off the
device that is in the Master Outlet. If the Energy-Saving Controlled Outlets are Off, then you are done.
If the Energy-Saving Controlled Outlets never turn Off: 1. Turn Off the device in the Master Outlet. 2. Slowly
turn the Adjust dial counter clockwise until the device/s in the Energy-Saving Controlled Outlets turn Off. Turn
On the device in the Master Outlet. If the Energy-Saving Controlled Outlets are On, then you are done.

Note: 1. During adjustment, a computer in the Master Outlet should not be in sleep or hibernate mode.
