How to Run a
Blood Sugar Test
with an Accu-
Chek
® Comfort
Curve ® Test Strip
Follow these steps to apply a drop of
blood to an Accu-Chek
® Comfort
Curve ® Test Strip.
Step Action
1 Touch and hold the drop of blood
to the curved edge of the test
strip where you see the yellow
window. The blood will be drawn
into the strip automatically. Hold
your finger on the curved edge
until the yellow window is
completely filled with blood.
NOTE: You may pick up the
meter, turn the meter, or move
the meter to the edge of a table
to make it easier to touch the
curved edge of the strip.

Step Action
2 Look at the yellow window on
the test strip. If you have enough
blood on the strip, you will not
see any yellow. The yellow
window will be completely filled
with blood.
Allow the blood to be drawn in as you keep
your finger on the curved edge of the test strip.
Do not try to place the blood drop directly on top
of the yellow window.
