PLATINUM 8200
Low Dosage Acidic Fountain Concentrate
Description: An acidic fountain concentrate designed for web presses equipped with brush or
spray dampening systems. PLATINUM 8200 contains a blend of desensitizing and
buffering agents to keep the non-image area free of ink. It also contains a mixture of
wetting components that provides excellent ink and water balance. PLATINUM 8200
is compatible with all new types of baked or unbaked CTP plates.
Directions for Use: Mix 2 to 4 ounces of PLATINUM 8200 to each gallon of water. A good starting point
is 4 ounces/gallon. Increase dosage if plate sensitivity such as tinting or toning
occurs. Decrease dosage if ink emulsification or ink roller stripping problems appear.
The conductivity will increase by approximately 700 micromhos for each ounce of
PLATINUM 8200 over the water’s.
