Changing the Battery

When installing a new battery, please ensure that no metal tweezers or similar
metallic tools are used. Plastic tweezers are required to be used; otherwise, the
battery could be short-circuited and damaged.

Also, make sure that the battery contacts are not bent, which could cause the battery
to short-circuit. Make sure the battery is not in the same container as the housing
base and/or the screws provided, otherwise the battery can be short-circuited and
damaged.

Only use the recommended Renata battery type as stated in the instruction
sheet.

Make sure that the contact surfaces of the battery are clean.

Make sure that the battery polarity (+ / -) is correct when replacing the battery.

Remove a dead battery immediately from the watch. Keeping a dead battery in
a watch can damage the movement.
