PISTON KIT INSTALLATION INFORMATION

NOTE: This kit should be installed by an expert or under expert supervision.

-Our piston kit is made of OEM specifications with slight modifications and should be installed
following the OEM service manual.
-For oversized pistons, be sure to hone the cylinder to the appropriate size to fit the piston with
clearance stated on the OEM service manual. Otherwise, the cylinder may be honed to fit the
piston’s thickest diameter with 0.05mm (0.002”) clearance.
-Arrow on the top of the piston should point towards the exhaust.

**While installing the piston, make sure to lubricate with motor oil.

PISTON RING INFORMATION

Silvered colored ring is for the top, and the second ring is black.
These rings both have a “T” stamped on one side to face the top.

To install the oil rings, first insert the spacer. Then, insert the side rails on top and under the
spacer. DO NOT allow the end grooves of the spacer to overlap.

To install the piston into the cylinder, be sure to adjust the angle of each ring gap, according to
OEM service manual directions.

**Use piston ring pliers when installing piston rings to avoid splitting the piston rings. The cast
iron piston rings will crack when overly stretched.
