TO ATTACH POWER CABLE, REMOVE DC
COVER FROM BOTTOM DOCKING CUP USING
PHILLIPS SCREWDRIVER. PLUG 90-DEGREE
POWER CABLE INTO DC PORT. REPOSITION
DC COVER OVER THE 90-DEGREE POWER
CABLE AND TIGHTEN UNTIL COVER IS
SECURE. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.

SECURING DC CABLE TO RAM™ POWERED DOCK

JUMPER SELECTION

OPTION 1 (FOR MOST CASES):
*FACTORY SETTING
PIN 1 - CONNECTED NORMALLY IN RS232 AS DCD
PIN 1 - NO 5V POWER
PIN 9 - CONNECTED NORMALLY IN RS232 AS RI
PIN 9 - NO 5V POWER

OPTION 2:
PIN 1 - DISCONNECTED FROM RS232 CIRCUITRY
PIN 1 - WITH 5V POWER SUPPLY
PIN 9 - KEEP CONNECTED IN RS232 CIRCUITRY AS RI
PIN 9 - NO 5V POWER

OPTION 3:
PIN 1 - KEEP CONNECTED IN RS232 CIRCUITRY AS DCD
PIN 1 - NO 5V POWER
PIN 9 - DISCONNECTED FROM RS232 CIRCUITRY
PIN 9 - 5V POWER SUPPLY

DOCKING INSTRUCTIONS

1. PLACE TOP END OF DEVICE INTO TOP
CUP. ENGAGE SPRING TENSION BY
APPLYING UPWARD FORCE.

2. ONCE UPWARD FORCE IS APPLIED, THERE SHOULD BE
ROOM TO FIT ENTIRE DEVICE INTO DOCKING STATION
WITHOUT MAKING CONTACT WITH BOTTOM CUP. ALIGN
BOTTOM OF DEVICE WITH GROOVES IN DOCKING CUP.

3. ONCE ALIGNED, ALLOW SPRING TENSION TO
ENGAGE YOUR DEVICE WITH DOCKING
CONNECTOR PINS ON DOCKING CUP.

PIN 1 - KEEP CONNECTED IN RS232 CIRCUITRY AS DCD
PIN 1 - NO 5V POWER
PIN 9 - DISCONNECTED FROM RS232 CIRCUITRY
PIN 9 - 5V POWER SUPPLY

DOCKING INSTRUCTIONS

1. PLACE TOP END OF DEVICE INTO TOP
CUP. ENGAGE SPRING TENSION BY
APPLYING UPWARD FORCE.

2. ONCE UPWARD FORCE IS APPLIED, THERE SHOULD BE
ROOM TO FIT ENTIRE DEVICE INTO DOCKING STATION
WITHOUT MAKING CONTACT WITH BOTTOM CUP. ALIGN
BOTTOM OF DEVICE WITH GROOVES IN DOCKING CUP.

3. ONCE ALIGNED, ALLOW SPRING TENSION TO
ENGAGE YOUR DEVICE WITH DOCKING
CONNECTOR PINS ON DOCKING CUP.
