Serial ATA connectors (7-pin SATA1, SATA2)
These connectors are for the Serial ATA signal cables for Serial ATA 3Gb/s hard disk

drives and optical disk drives. The Serial ATA 3Gb/s is backward compatible with the

Serial ATA 1.5Gb/s specification. The data transfer rate of the Serial ATA 3Gb/s is faster

than the standard parallel ATA (133 MB/s).

• Install the Windows

®

XP Service Pack 2 or later versions before using Serial ATA.

ATX power connector (24-pin EATXPWR) (for AT5IONT-I only)
This connector is for an ATX power supply. The plug from the power supply is designed

to fit this connector in only one orientation. Find the proper orientation and push down

firmly until the connector completely fits.

• For a fully configured system, we recommend that you use a power supply unit (PSU)

that complies with ATX 12 V Specification 2.0 (or later version) and provides a minimum

power of 90 W.

• We recommend that you use a PSU with higher power output when configuring a

system with more power-consuming devices. The system may become unstable or may

not boot up if the power is inadequate.

• If you are uncertain about the minimum power supply requirement for your system,

refer to the Recommended Power Supply Wattage Calculator at http://support.asus.

com/PowerSupplyCalculator/PSCalculator.aspx?SLanguage=en-us for details.
