The External Digital Temperature/Humidity Sensor is a digital sensor designed to monitor both the
temperature and humidity of a specifi c location. Its small size (i.e. 2˝ long, 3/8˝ diameter) allows it to be
installed anywhere temperature or humidity issues threaten valuable equipment. The Digital Temperature/
Humidity Sensor is designed specifi cally for use with the Room Alert.

Mount the Digital Temperature/Humidity Sensor where desired and run the sensor cable back to the ID
Box. Plug the RJ-11 end of the sensor cable into an available RJ-11 port on the front of the Room Alert
4E, Room Alert 7E, Room Alert 11E, Room Alert 24E, Room Alert 26WO, Room Alert 26W, Room Alert
32E or Room Alert 32W ID Box.

If desired, the sensor cable for the Digital Temperature/Humidity Sensor can be extended beyond the
default 25 foot length. The maximum supported extension length is 100 feet and the cable that is used
for the extension must be ‘straight through’. Be sure to connect the wires in the exact confi guration they
were in before extension if manufacturing your own cables. The Digital Temperature/Humidity Sensor
provided is ‘Volt-Free’.
