1.3 Proprietary Product Description:

1.3.1 Construction:
BurkeTurf Rubber Flooring is
manufactured from recycled truck tire strips adhered with hot-
melt adhesive to a reinforced nylon scrim backing. This
rugged, carpet-like tile is highly resistant and spike-proof. Its
non-skid surface is ideal for ramps, concourses, golf pro
shops, entrances, skating rinks, schools, and other sports areas.
BurkeTurf Rubber Flooring is designed for both interior and
exterior applications, but not recommended for commercial
kitchen environments.

3. INSTALLATION
The installation of BurkeTurf Rubber Flooring should not
begin until the work of all other trades has been completed,
especially overhead trades. Areas to receive BurkeTurf shall
be clean and maintained at a uniform temperature of at
least 70

° F for 24 hours before, during, and after the

installation is completed. The BurkeTurf and adhesives shall
be conditioned in the same manner. Surfaces shall be smooth,
flat, permanently dry, clean and free of all foreign material,
such as dust, paint, grease, oils, solvents, curing and hardening
compounds, sealers, asphalt, and old adhesive residue.
BurkeTurf may be installed on any smooth, dry interior or
exterior surface. If installing on an exterior surface, do not
allow the product to be exposed to water or moisture for a
period of 96 hours after the installation to permit proper
adhesive curing. After adhesive application and
installation, the floor tiles shall be rolled with a 100 lb. 3-
section roller to ensure proper bonding.

3.1 Adhesives:

Burke #BR-710 One-Part Urethane Adhesive.

Trowel: 1/16" V-notched trowel
(Approximately 80 - 90 sq. ft/gal)

Burke #BR-725 Two-Part Urethane Adhesive:

Trowel: 1/16" square-notched trowel
(Approximately 125 - 150 sq. ft/gal)
