Troubleshooting
Problem Solution
There are ghost images on
the external monitor. The distance between the external console and the CL-
1200 is too great. The maximum cable distance should
not exceed 20m and, in some cases, may need to be
shorter. Replace the VGA cable with one of an
appropriately short length.
When I try to perform
hotkey operations on my
KVM switch, nothing
happens. If the KVM switch connected to the CL-1200 uses the
[Ctrl] [Alt] [Shift] combination to invoke its hotkey mode,
you won't be able to access any of its hotkey operations.
The reason is that the CL-1200 captures the combination
for console selection first (see p. 16). You must use a
KVM switch that uses a different hotkey invocation
method.
