Installing 8” and Larger Profile Seals
When installing a profile seal, one side of the seal is wider than the other. This WIDER SIDE goes
in FIRST. Measure both sides first to be certain which is larger.
Apply a thin coat of dishwashing detergent to the back (the side touching the claw) and sides
of the profile seal if desired and gently tap the seal into place using a SOFT FACED hammer.
If the seal goes in easily, it is most likely backwards.
When installed properly, the seal forms a “dovetail” with the claw.
REMEMBER:
the larger diameter always goes to the inside.
