• Tighten screws evenly; do not overtighten or you will crack the cast ears.
• Thread the assembly onto the discharge of the pump. Tighten so that the discharge
opening is opposite the cable entry as pictured.
• Once riser tube (check body) is threaded onto the pump discharge; apply a little grease
to the rubber gasket to hold it in place in the groove of the discharge opening.
• Fasten the guide claw to the riser tube with the fasteners provided. The nuts will be held
in place and kept from spinning by the bosses cast into the riser tube. Place a washer
over the bolt and apply thread locking compound such as blue #242. Tighten the screws
evenly; do not over tighten or you will crack the cast ears.
Discharge
