Click the Prev button to the right of the Time Find button to see the previous sample (in time
order) stored for the point.

Click on the Next button to the right of the Time Find button to display the next sample stored
for the point.

11.3.1.2 Changing an Historical Database Value

To change the value stored for any point (either an instrument database point or a Manual Data Entry
point), enter the tagname in the Tagname entry box or click the tagname on the Tagname Find list. Then
use one of the methods described above to display the time-stamp and the value to be changed. Move the
pointer to the value box, press on the left mouse button to get the vertical bar (I) cursor, and change the
value. Click the Store button to the right of the value to save the change in the Historical Database. Any
time a Historical Database value is changed manually, an Event Message will be generated and sent to the
Event Historian.

11.3.1.3 Adding an Historical Database Value

To add a new time-stamp and value to the database for any point (either an instrument point or a Manual
Data Entry point) enter the tagname in the entry box or click the tagname in the Tagname Find list. Then
enter the new time-stamp by clicking in the time entry box and entering the new time-stamp in place of the
time-stamp on display. Click in the Value box and enter the new value. Finally, click Store to save the
change to the Historical Database.

11.3.1.4 Deleting an Historical Database Value

To delete a time-stamp and value from the database for any point (either an instrument point or a Manual
Data Entry point) enter the tagname in the entry box or click the tagname in the tagname Find list. Then:

Enter the time-stamp for the value to be deleted and press the Time Find button to display the
value associated with that time-stamp. Once the value is on display, click Delete to delete the
value and its time-stamp from the Historical Database.

Use the Time Prev and Next buttons until the time-stamp and value to be deleted are on
display, then click on the Value Delete button to delete the value and its time-stamp from the
Historical Database.

11.3.2 Database Maintenance Windows

In addition to the Historical Manual Entry utility, the Database Maintenance menu provides access to Data-
base Maintenance windows for the following:

the Historical Database

the Historical Block Database

the Archival Database

the Archival Block Database

NOTE

No event message is generated when a new time-stamp and value
are added to the Historical Database.

NOTE

Deleting a time-stamp and value will generate an Event Message.
