lowed by the device number (for example, PWC6). The color of the Node Name indicates the network sta-
tus of the node, as follows:

3.4.1.2 Info Menu

Click the button containing the Node Name to display the pull-down menu for a node. The pull-down menu
for each node contains a button labelled Info. Click this button to access the Info Menu. The Info Menu
contains, at the minimum, the following two entries:

Show Available Services

3.4.1.2.1 Network Info

Clicking on the Network Info item in the Info Menu will cause a Network Info window to be displayed
(

Figure 3-8

).

This window contains read-only information about the node selected from the System Status Display. The
information will include the Internet (IP) address, the host name (if any), and the Ethernet address of the
node (if known).

Click OK to return to the System Status Display.

Cyan

Indicates that the node is the local Micro-PWC node. The local node is
also indicated by an asterisk (*) following the node name.

White

Indicates the node is on the network. The node can be accessed by the
local Micro-PWC.

Black
(Text and Node Icon)
on Red
(Button Color)

Indicates that the node is not currently on the network. The node can no
longer be accessed from the local Micro-PWC. (However, the node was
accessible at some point in time following the most recent restart of the
local Micro-PWC. If the node is still inaccessible at the time of the next
local Micro-PWC restart, it will be removed entirely from the SSD.) The
menu of the node cannot be used in this state. The node icon is
displayed in black, as well as the Node Name.
In this case, the node name is also enclosed in parentheses.
