4.0 Hierarchical Process Displays

4.1 Overview

This chapter describes the hierarchy of displays that provide the user with process information. This hierar-
chy consists of Summary, Group, and Point displays. The Micro-PWC also provides the means to create
custom displays which can be used in place of the standard displays. If the hierarchical displays on the
Micro-PWC are different from those described here, it is possible that custom hierarchical displays are in
use on the system. Consult your system administrator for information on local custom displays.

With an Operator Window open, click the Select option on the menu bar of the window. This confers key-
board focus on that window, and causes a pull-down menu to appear, as shown in

Figure 4-1

.

Click Summary, Group or Point to display the specified window.

Alternatively, once an Operator Window has keyboard focus, you can press a function key (

F2 for a Sum-

mary display,

F3 for a Group display, and F4 for a Point display) to access a hierarchical display. After the

function key is pressed, a pop-up window prompts you to enter the index number of the display you want to
view. This pop-up window varies with the type of display selected.
