WARNING

Always wear eye protection and protective

clothing when working with refrigerants.
Contact with refrigerant may cause personal
injury. Disconnect hoses and tubes with
extreme caution as they may contain liquid

refrigerant under pressure. Always point hoses away
from you and anyone nearby.

To avoid possible hazardous release of refrigerant,

follow these steps carefully.

The 34430 Replacement Filter is for mobile applications
only. If you have a microprocessor-controlled station, follow
the directions in that station's operating manual to replace the
filter. If your station does not have a microprocessor, follow
these directions.

1. If recycling is in progress, turn off the RECYCLING

switch. The compressor continues to operate until refriger-
ant clears from the suction side of the A/C system.

2. Loosen the nuts at each end of the filter and remove the

filter.

3. Install the new 34430 filter. The refrigerant flow arrow on

the filter label must point to the left. The word “INLET”
stamped on the end of the filter must be on the right.

4. When the filter is in place, evacuate the station for

approximately 10 minutes to remove the air that entered
during the filter changeout. Attach a vacuum pump to
the oil drain port and open the oil drain valve. Start the
vacuum pump and operate for the required amount of
time.

The station is ready to resume operation.

Because of ongoing product improvements, we reserve the right
to change design, specifications, and materials without notice.
