Red and Red/White Tailgate LED Light Bar

Warning: The installation of this light bar is recommended to be installed by a licensed professional. The improper installation
of this kit will void all warranties.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY BEFORE INSTALLING AND OPERATING
THIS TAILGATE LIGHT BAR.

Tailgate Light Bar Includes:

Tailgate LED Light Bar w/
Flat 4 Pin Connector

(4) Self-Tapping Screws

(4) 3M™ Double Sided
Adhesive Strips

Tailgate Light Bar Installation:

1.

Prior to installation, be sure to test the light bar by temporarily connecting it to the trailer tow harness to ensure full
functionality. For trucks wired for a trailer tow harness, you can simply plug in the flat 4 pin wire connector and test the
running, brake and turn signal lights for full functionality. For trucks not wired for a trailer tow harness, you will have
to hardwire the light bar into the truck’s existing wiring and test the running, brake and turn signal lights for full
functionality. When you have determined the light bar is working properly, you can disconnect the light bar and
prepare for installation.

Note: We highly recommend applying Dielectric Grease across the Flat 4 Pin Connector to give a corrosion resistant
barrier which helps reduce corrosion and ensure long lasting operations.

2.

Each tailgate light bar is wired with a standard flat 4 pin trailer connection harness:

a.

White Wire – Ground

b.

Brown Wire – Running Light

c.

Yellow Wire – Left Turn Signal & Brake Light

d.

Green Wire – Right Turn Signal & Brake Light

*

Additional Step Required for Red/White Tailgate Light Bar:

You must connect the additional white wire to your existing
reverse light power wire. Use a wire connector to connect the white
wires and heat-shrink tubing to seal the connection or you can also
solder the connection. Refer to your vehicle’s service manual for a
wire schematic for correct wire placement or you can test the
power sources using a multi-meter.

3.

Once everything has been tested, you can now mount the light bar
to the truck using the supplied 3M double sided adhesive tape,
making sure to clean the surface to remove any dirt and oil using
an alcohol prep pad. Now that the light bar is mounted to the
tailgate with the 3M double sided adhesive tape, pre-drill the four
mounting holes using a 1/8

th

inch drill bit. This will make the

drilling the four self-tapping screws much easier. Drill the four self-tapping screws into the four holes you just drilled.

4.

Now that the light bar is attached, you will want to test the light bar for full functionality once more. If everything
seems to be working properly, secure and hide any excessive wire with zip-ties.
