Pinpoint all these leaks:
• Air Conditioning
• Engine Oil (Gasoline and Diesel)
• Fuel (Gasoline and Diesel)
• Coolant
• Automatic Transmission Fluid
• Power Steering Fluid
• Hydraulics
(Not for brake systems)
TO OPERATE:
Remove the battery insulator before first use. Press the on/off button once to
turn on either the UV light (the end with the violet ring) or the blue light (the end
with the blue ring). Press the button again to turn off each light in turn.
FAST, EASY LEAK DETECTION:
• Add the appropriate fluorescent dye and run the engine or A/C system
to circulate. (See instructions included with dyes.)
• For best results, use in low-light conditions. When using the blue light
LED, wear the TP-9940 glasses provided to make leaks clearly visible.
• Scan the system with the flashlight. You'll easily see the precise location
of every leak easily by its bright fluorescent glow.
CLEANUP/REINSPECTION:
After the leaks are repaired, clean the remaining dye from the leak sites with
a Tracerline
® Glo-Away™ dye cleaner or shop solvent. Remaining dye could
be mistaken for a leak. Check all areas again with the Vio-Blu flashlight to
make sure no dye remains. Run the system for another 5 to 10 minutes and
reinspect. No glow means that all leaks have been properly repaired.
TO REPLACE BATTERIES:
Turn the portion of the lamp farthest from the pushbutton
counterclockwise to open. Insert three AAA batteries (included),
following the direction of the arrows. Turn clockwise to close.

Limited Warranty enclosed separately with each unit.

Tracerline ® fluorescent dyes.

well as Tracerline ® TP-3400, TP-3405, TP-3900 and TP-3940 fluid dyes
• Blue light works with all oil-based dyes, including difficult-to-fluoresce
yellow dyes
