6mm, Multi-Purpose Borescope Kit with

Dual-Head LED Flashlight

The Tracerline

®

COBRA-6™ kit features an extremely narrow (6mm

diameter), multi-purpose borescope that allows you to easily view
previously inaccessible engine, transmission and gear-train
components. The kit comes complete with a dual-head blue and
white light LED flashlight, a flexible 38-inch, water- and abrasion-
resistant shaft, a light-concentrating coupler and a clip-on
inspection mirror. Fluorescence-enhancing glasses, for use with
the blue light and fluorescent dyes (dyes sold separately), are also
included. All components are packed in a sturdy plastic carrying case.

To Operate the Dual-Head Flashlight
Press the button once to turn on either the white light or the blue light.
Press it again to turn off each light in turn. The solid-state LED diodes,
either blue or white, offer long-lived operation (approximately 100,000
hours each). Batteries are included.

To Replace Batteries
Turn the portion of the lamp farthest from the pushbutton counterclock-
wise
to open. Insert 3 AAA batteries, following the direction of the arrows,
and turn clockwise to close.

Eyepiece Focusing
The eyepiece has been factory set to be in focus and should need very
little adjustment in the field. Turn the eyepiece slightly to the left or right to
be in focus. If you feel resistance, do not exert force but reverse the
direction. Continue until the image is in focus.

Attaching the Coupler and Mirror
Loosen the screw on the light-concentrating coupler, press the coupler
onto the post of the borescope and tighten the screw to secure.
IMPORTANT: To position the inspection mirror properly, align and tilt the
base against the flat portion of the borescope tip. Push it into place,
making sure that the clip is fully seated in the recessed section of the tip.

WARNING

• Read all instructions and information before using.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not point the tip of the borescope toward the sun or other
bright light to avoid damage to eyes.
• Do not bend shaft tighter than 6-inch diameter.
• Never use this instrument in any manner not specified in
these

instructions.

CAUTION

The inspection mirror is intended for external use only. In some
cases, the mirror can be dislodged and not easily retrieved. The user
takes full responsibility in these instances. Accordingly, please use
good judgment when using the mirror.
